The Art of Giving Returns!
The Wit Gallery’s Art of Giving Winter Charity Campaign returns for it’s 11th year with 27 artists participating. Purchase artwork by participating artists between February 5th and March 20th and a tax-deductible donation will be made in your name to a charity chosen by you or by the artist.
The Art of Giving was created in 2010 to respond to the growing need in our communities due to the financial crisis of that time. The financial environments for charities have been on pendulum rides since, with guarantees of funding always in question. This is true now, more than ever.
Each winter since 2010, “The Art of Giving” has allowed the Wit Gallery artists to select charities close to their hearts to benefit from part of the proceeds of their sales. The organizations chosen have usually had a personal impact on the artists. This year, well over half of our artists are taking part in this important program and much of the focus is on food security during the Covid-19 crisis.
How this program works:
Receive 10% off the original price of select artworks and we’ll make a 10% tax-deductible* donation to a charity in your name. Each artist has selected a charity which they would prefer to support, however you may choose another if his/her selection does not resonate with your beliefs.
Within the “Art of Giving” the opportunity is presented for the beauty of Art to be joined with the beauty of Spirit. May living with one of these pieces of Art remind you of the gift you made possible; donated to support and lift another in need.A win, win, win, win.
